About Eldorado
Eldorado is a well-establish desirable single-family community, comprised of approximately 2,700 homes, about 10 minutes southeast of Santa Fe, with a mix of singles, couples, young families, and vibrant retirees!
Several subdivisions, all with their own unique flavor offer a wide variety of housing choices. The corridor is complimented by reasonable and useful commercial businesses- such as a large grocery store, a full service bank, hardware store, pharmacy, post office, gas station, restaurants, doctors and dentist, veterinarian clinic, hair salon, offices and the like.
El Dorado Community School (a Santa Fe K-8 public school), the Vista Grande Public Library, and the Adams Santa Fe county senior center are all located in Eldorado, and serve the populous from Glorieta to Galisteo, besides Eldorado and the 285 corridor.
The pleasant drive from Santa Fe to Eldorado offers an excellent transition from the city to country living, with its beautiful sunsets and all encompassing night skies.
Eldorado itself has an amenities program second to none. It includes swimming pools, soccer fields, tennis courts, hike and bike trails, horse stable area, clubhouse (with kitchen), security patrol and a 4000-acre “conservation area” for the use of its residents. Other subdivisions in the immediate area offer bigger lots and some allow horse facilities to be placed on the lots. Lots overall in the area range from 1 to 25 acres.
